Where imperfections are perfect and flaws are flawless

What’s with the Big Booty Craze?!

“Big, big booty, what you got a big booty”…

“My anaconda don’t want none unless you got buns hun”…

“You know what to do with that big fat butt”…

What is it with all these songs about booties?

I know booty year was last year but honestly, it has made a big impact on society today.

There’s nothing wrong with having a big butt and being curvy or whatever, but why all of a sudden did it become such a hype?

Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian just to name a few, are some of the most influential celebrities for their voluptuous bodies.

Like I said, there’s nothing wrong with having curves.

But ladies, don’t push yourselves too far to the point where you’re having butt and breast implants.

Butt implants have now become as common as breast implants.

Before, when girls would ask “Do these jeans make my butt look big?” the wrong answer would be yes.

But now, people really are trying to make their butt look big in jeans. Don’t even get me started on yoga pants! If you aren’t familiar with yoga pants (which I’m sure everyone is), it’s made out of a thin stretchy material and it’s used for EXERCISING and YOGA. It’s not just an outfit you wear to flaunt your ass and pretend you went to the gym, when all you really did was stay at home and watch Netflix all day.

We are taught to embrace our bodies and be confident in ourselves.

You don’t have to be skinny to be pretty and you don’t have to have a flat stomach to be deemed sexy or attractive.

But you don’t need to have a huge butt either.

It’s actually making girls more insecure about themselves if you think about it.

I was scrolling through Facebook the other day and I came across a vine showing 4 6-year old girls dancing to Wiggle by Jason Derulo. They’re freakin’ 6-year olds and they’re on the floor, on all 4’s, shaking their butts! Most of the comments were “Where are their parents?!” and “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Well, it’s true! And what kind of parents would give their 6 year old kids a phone? On that same day, I was watching Good Work on E! and their topic was of course, booty.

I actually found out on the show that there are 3 types of butts these days: a padded butt, a butt with fillers, and a natural butt!

These expectations on how girl’s butts should look like need to stop.

We shouldn’t be putting our health in danger just to live up to people’s expectations.

    We all have different bodies.

If ever you really do want a big butt, you should try doing it the healthy way. Exercise and eat the right food to gain some weight if you want to be voluptuous.

    Be confident with your body.

You don’t have to live up to people’s expectations just to be accepted in society

Be comfortable in your own skin.

Flaunt what you have and don’t dwell on the things you don’t have.

You are unique the way you are.

Don’t be influenced and intimidated by what others bring to the table.

We’re all different, we all have flaws.

Be yourself, because that’s the only person you’re ever going to be.

You don’t need to be accepted by others.

    You need to accept yourself.

    You’re beautiful.

    Don’t ever forget that.
